Customs and Duties
When shipping internationally, VAT (Value Added Tax) and duties may apply depending on the destination country's regulations. Please note that VAT and duties are collected by FedEx, our shipping partner, and not by WheelsOnRail. These charges are typically assessed upon importation and are the responsibility of the recipient. FedEx will handle the collection of VAT and duties on behalf of the customs authorities.
Tracking and Updates
Once your shipment is dispatched, you will receive a tracking number to monitor the status of your delivery. You can track your package in real-time through the FedEx website or app. We also provide regular updates regarding the progress of your shipment to ensure transparency and peace of mind.
Delivery Attempts
FedEx will make multiple attempts to deliver your package to the provided address. In case of unsuccessful delivery attempts, a notice will be left, and further instructions for redelivery or pickup will be provided. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure someone is available to receive the package at the provided address during the scheduled delivery times.
Payment Failure and Order Return
The cargo will be returned to WheelsOnRail if the recipient does not pay the VAT and taxes owed to FedEx . In these circumstances, we will reimburse your order after subtracting the following expenses:
- Shipping cost incurred for outbound shipment.
- Return shipping cost charged by FedEx.
- Administrative fee to cover processing and handling expenses.

EORI Number Requirement for EU Businesses
If you are a business and shipping to the European Union (EU), it's essential to verify whether you require an EORI (Economic Operator Registration and Identification) number for customs clearance. Failure to provide the necessary EORI number may result in delays or complications with your shipment. We advise EU business customers to check the EORI requirement before placing an order. If an EORI number is needed, kindly provide it to us either at the time of ordering or once the order has been placed.
